Ongoing Renovations

The current owners acquired the Ranch in 2000 and have spent considerable time and money to renovate and restore the Ranch.

Potential Future

The current owners hope that one day the Ranch will become part of the Agua Fria National Monument as a resource center. It would be an ideal headquarters for education and research throughout the monument.

800 firefighters use the Ranch as a headquarters for the Summer fire of 2005

The Ranch is already be used as a research center by ASU. Ongoing projects include restoration of the fish ponds, study of the indian ruins and petroglyphs, and surveys of the local wildlife.

To this end they have started the Horseshoe Ranch Preservation Group to promote the Ranch for acquisition by the Arizona BLM.
